Polly Jiacovelli, LMT, CLT-LANA
Polly Jiacovelli is a certified Dr. Vodder Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) and Combined Decongestive Therapy (CDT) Therapist. She has been a licensed massage therapist in New York and Rhode Island since 1988, starting her journey in lymphedema training in the early 1990s.
Polly trained with Dr. Robert Lerner and Guenter Klose, pioneers of lymphedema care in the U.S., at Lymphedema Services in New York City. This clinic practiced the gold standard care for lymphedema, providing patients with MLD, compression therapy, remedial exercises, and skin care over several weeks. Polly worked there for six years before starting her own private practice in 1997.
Her career expanded into the beauty industry where she worked with Frédéric Fekkai at Beauté de Provence and provided massage and MLD for plastic surgery patients under Dr. Michelle Copeland. Polly has continued to pursue advanced MLD training with the Dr. Vodder School, where she recertifies every two years.
Professor Hildegard Wittlinger, entrusted by Dr. Emil Vodder himself, leads the Dr. Vodder School, advancing this technique to treat over 60 different conditions. “The method he [Dr. Emil Vodder] created is simple but brilliant, difficult to learn but unique in its effect.”
— Professor Hildegard Wittlinger
